I am from the USA, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to live on Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.

It usually takes me about 3 to 4 weeks before I have to leave the US. My stupidity meter pegs out and I have to go where there are nice tropical breezes, beautiful beaches, and friendly waitresses bringing me a fresh cold iced tea. With artificial sweetener honeyko, remember I am diabetic. Nice bikini you have on today. Pink suits your skin tone.
My hotel is probably the best in the town and costs me $26 US dollars per night. The cafe on street level is open 24 hours per day 7 days a week. And the beach is just across the street.
Sure beats the heck out of Hawaii. LOL
sincerely

This kid was great, not a care in the world. There is a thing in the Bible about how to become like children, it is profound to me.

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 18:3

I think or feel this to mean, try to look at the world innocently, without a care or agenda in the back of your mind, to just accept, that purity.

I totally agree. I try to look at the world innocently and do not try to change anyone. I just try to go to the places that are most relaxing to live. And I do sympathize with the people who for one reason or another have to live in places that they do not like. For a long time I was in that situation.
I try to travel to cities that are friendly, inexpensive, and fun. Panajachel is at the top of my list.
